Welcome to the new website of the Twin Ports Regional Arts Alliance! Our mission is to strengthen the Twin Ports Region by strengthening the arts. The Alliance was formed after breakout sessions at the Artworks conference in the spring of 2008. Our goal is to actively raise the profile of arts and artists by enhancing their visibility and economic value within the community through collaboration among artists, businesses, governmental agencies, educational institutions, and the local community. We intend to do this through improving communication about regional arts resources and activities, marketing the Twin Ports region as an arts destination, and providing advocacy for the arts and artists.

It is our hope that our efforts will help other organizations become more effective at their mission. The Twin Ports Regional Arts Alliance will not duplicate the functions of other arts related organizations. We will not be directly involved in creating or displaying art. The Arts Alliance will fill communication gaps that are present between existing organizations, build up ties between the arts, government, business and community wherever possible, provide a clearinghouse for talent in the region, and ignite the economic engine that the arts can provide. So stay tuned as we work to strengthen our community by strengthening the arts!
